Designers have managed to tame their spirit of adventure and brought us the biggest catch of the season – the animal print! It would be hard to name all those creators with wild animal obsessions in their collections, but when the queen of minimalism Victoria Beckham put on her leopard coat at the end of last year it was evident we were in for a fashion fever. And today, we are living it!
The animal kingdom moved to the streets of fashion metropolises such as New York, London, Milan and Paris. And it’s not just the dresses, blouses, skirts and handbags, it’s the sweaters, all sorts of accessories, and even socks.

Though the critics disputed and accused it of flirting with kitch, they also helped its enormous popularity. You either love animal prints or you hate them. But we would definitely like to salute the animal print for its absolute dominance this season! From leopard to python, from zebra to giraffe, anything goes and all of it is just so desirable.
The materials have also started to break the rules, so we don’t have just one trendy type of fabric, but a wide assortment of them, from artificial leather to viscose and cotton. The most dominant prints are those that accurately portray the natural animal patterns, but that is not all, because this season is offering the red leopard print and fluo-green python.
It will be exciting to watch the evolution of the animal print, but until then it is a unique fashion classic in the world of patterns, which sits high on its throne and has no intention of coming down any time soon!
